The Americans with Disability Act also known as ADA 2010 requires that state or local government, as well as privately owned facilities that provide goods and services to the public, must provide accessible parking spaces as regulated by the act. The regulations are as follows.

  • The distance between wheel stops must be at least 0.91 m apart
  • Position wheel stops so that they do not extend between the front end of the vehicle
  • Place wheel stops such that when the vehicle park facing the sidewalks, the front bumper does not extend over the sidewalks
